Sending "forms" without text?? Please help
Hi, my knowledge of Flash so far is very basic but I am trying to learn. I
would like to know if it's possible to do a screen capture and mail that?
Or use some other (better) method for this: I want the user to be able to
drag and drop objects, and when everything is arranged according to their
liking, press Submit, and when Submit is pressed I would like a mail to be
sent that contains the layout that the receiver can print out. Also, how
would I send a "form" without using asp? Any help is greatly appreciated,
thanks in advance!

Hi,
no, you can't capture screens from flash.
but if you want to store the things the user has drag'n'dropped, you could
just store the x/y cords. (eventually store the type of the object, too
(maybe "trouser" or "cup")).
as far as your user needs just needs the printout, a print command would be
enough. (and print the contents from flash) otherwise if you need the data
too, you will need an aps/php page to receive and store the data.

Re: Sending "forms" without text?? Please help
Thank you for your response. I have another question, as pre-basic as my
knowledge of Flash is, could you tell me or point me in the direction to a
tut that explains how to do your suggestion? I have no idea how to do that,
but I think it would work for the guy. I guess I have one more question,
the person wants to be able to arrange his studio the way his customers
want. He was told by a website design company that it would be possible,
using Flash, to create a page where his site visitors could drag 'n drop
objects, and then, still using Flash, press a "Submit" button and have that
layout emailed to him so he can print it out. I don't mean to doubt you, I
would just like to know if it is possible or if the website company
misrepresented the idea. Again, I do think that having just the coords
would work, with a label such as "trouser" or "cup", I just want to make
sure that when I tell him that he wouldn't be able to get the graphics on
the layout emailed to him, that I'm telling the truth. :)
Thanks again!
