    Default Seperation anomoly captain!!!

    Hi all,
when I look at the plates in Acrobat, my text which is black only, appears on all plates,
this is very strange, have tested it with a pic in background and no pic!

Could someone please tell me what is happening with my file!
I have a 16page landscape document, all CMYK images form PS, logos from Ill., all spots to process! When viewed in InDesign in the seps preview it's fine, write a .ps and distill, Acrobat preview of seps- and the problem is there again, my hair is falling out.

    Thanks, Baldy!

My text is 100% black, why would that show on all plates? the printer (human) running the CTP is not getting this, and the seperation preview within InDesign is not showing it. It is only when I print the .ps and distill it using the printers settings!

I feel like there is a gypsy curse on me at the moment!

Which distiller job options are you using?
What happens to a pdf that has been exported from Indesign.

    Hi Anthony,
In distiller. Select the your required printers setting in the default setting tab. Select settings / Edit Adobe PDF Settings / select the colour tab at the top. Under colour management policies change to Leave colour Unchanged then save as.

Yes. Otherwise, as you've noticed, your black is converted to process (4 color).
