Serial number not accepted...Red X

I've just acquired and installed Dreamweaver but when asked for the Serial
Number it will not accept it and am met with a Red X. I have a PC with Windows
XP. I've entered, as recommended, the capital letters and used the key pad for
the numbers. What's wrong? Thanks much
