    Default Server.CreateObject Access Error

Not entirely certain why you want to open an instance of
    Word on the server?

However, check permission for IUSR_... and IWAM... if you
    are using Anon Access.

Also, you might try getObject("filename") if you have a
    specific file.

Careful though anything that has a UI can cause problems
on the server, in addition to the fact that MS does not
recommend running MS Office applications on from IIS.

    Default Re: Server.CreateObject Access Error

    keith.
I use a instance of word to convert .doc file into html file using the
SaveAs method. This is done on the fly when user uploads a doc.

Both IUSR_ and IWAN_ have admin rights. Same error still appears. Any
    other ideas?

    cheers

    Default Server.CreateObject Access Error

Hello, I've recently loaded my machine with wWindows Server 2003. I have
com opbjects that were created with VB6 compile on Win 2K. I've added the
components to Component Services but when my .asp page does a Server.Create
I'm getting the following error. "The call to Server.CreateObject failed
while checking permissions. Access is denied to this object. " I gave IUSR
admin rights and still receiving the error. In IIS I set all server
extensions to allow. I gave Msvbvm60.dll read and execute permission to the
Everyone group still no luck. Any help on this would be greatly
    appreciated.

I Also ran the Filemon tool from Sysinternals and the only error I see is a
    Buffer Overflow on "w3wp.exe"

    Thanks,
    Ernest

    Question Re: Server.CreateObject Access Error

I am getting a similar error. I am trying to debug a VB6.0 and ASP application on a Windows 7 Machine. I have colleagues who are able to do this with same configuration by giving full access permissions to IIS_IUSRS on MSVBCM60.dll. I tries the same but had no Luck. Any other solutions would be highly appreciated.
