    Enterprise manager uses the undoented extended procedure xp_fixeddrives
    to return a list of drives on the server.

    You can find an article with a list of useful undoented xp's here:

    You can also run SQL Profiler to trace what Enterprise Manager is sending to
    the server when you do open the database file dialog or do any other action,
    that will give you lots of inforamtion.
