Server rebooting, need help troubleshooting
Windows 2000 Server with all the SP's and updates, PDC.
It has reboot itself 4 times in the last three days. Event logs don't show
anything suspicious prior to reboot. Nothing else seems wrong. Event log did
say shutdown was unexpected. After coming back up fully I get an even ID
1001 "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was:
0x000000d1 (0x02018006, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xbbb11460)". The
bugcheckcode also appeared as 0a, and c5. I found this KB article and did as
it described. Now DMPCHK says the address was 804690f3 and by doing as the
article suggests the closest thing I can find is ntoskrnl.exe at 80400000.
So this implies that the kernel failed.
So now my question is "What next?". Basically all it tells me is that the
kernel crashed and I have no idea where to go from here.

Re: Server rebooting, need help troubleshooting
I have the same problem. On our server the problem started on 6/21/0
exactly like Cory described. Server crashes
unexpectedly. Nothing suspicious prior to reboot. I did
a complete virus scan - no viruses found. Windows is configured t
download updates from MS automatically.
I am running a Tyan S2880 with ZeroRAID, 4GB memory, Windows
2000 Server, SQLServer 2000. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
