Server Shutting down
We are using W2k Server. Ffor the last two days our
server has rebooted apearently by itself. This happened
yesterday at about 11:30 and about 4;30. And again today
at 11:25.
I have run virus scans on both servers and found no
infections.
The System Log shows a log error that says that the
previous shutdown was unexpected.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Server Shutting down
Hello,
Do you have anything scheduled to run at this time?
To me, it sounds like you are getting a Blue Screen, and the server is
configured to automatically reboot when this happens. Try to disable this
"feature" (right click "My Computer", click Properties, click on the
Advanced tab and Settings button for "Startup and Recovery"), and maybe you
can see the blue screen and find out what is wrong.
You should however have information about this in the EventLog, and it
should be default create a minidump. Do you have this?

Re: Server Shutting down
What was the error code for this error showed on blue screen or in event
viewer?
(For instance, 0x0000009.)
