Serving Live and Recorded from one FMS
We're potentially purchasing FMSS3 and installing it on a web server in the
next couple of weeks. In addition to simple streaming of a library of
pre-recorded flv's, we also have a desire to be able to do live streaming,
which should be possible with the addition of the encoding software. A couple
of questions - is it possible or recommended to do both hosting and live
streaming from one server, or would we be better off running a second box for
live events? Also, is it possible to add the encoding software and a card to
the server itself, or would the encoding process eat too much of the processing
power?
Any help, advice, or insight into the process would be appreciated. Thanks!
