Have you set the files panel to its expanded mode, connedted, displaying remote and local files, and then right clicking on the remote side of the window?
Can you post a screenshot of what you're doing?

When I am connected to a site and I click the expand button on the Files panel, I see two sets of file listings next to each other, one is the local and one is the remote set of files. They have a bar between them that can be dragged to resize the areas taken up by the two file listing, so it may be possible to drag it all the way over and hide one of the listings. regardless, you shoudl be abel to see both when the panel is expanded. When you see both, right-click on the remote side to be able to access the Set Permissions dialog.> well i now know what i am doing worng and i think it is thw way that i see the

Re: set permissions of rDW MX 2004
:D
what u have to do is make sure thatu have got all of the files on your pc.
you cant do this when u have not defined a site.
this means that u cant usea FTP defined site

suppose that working on the just a reomte set of fiels sorta makes the
files the local copy, so for DW there is no remote set of files to
operate upon. I'll report this and see if it is something that can be
worked around.

Hi - I'm running DW MX 2004 (7.0.1) on Mac OS X 10.4.2 and I'm unable to use
the "Set Permissions for Dreamweaver MX 2004, V2.0.0" extension.
I installed as directed, restarted DW, checked the Extension Manager to verify
that the extension was installed and active, and then went to my Remote View in
the Files window, and control-clicked on a file to get the contextual menu.
There's nothing in there about setting permissions.
Has anyone gotten this extension to work in similar circumstances?
Thanks,
Chap
