set up user network rights?
How do I give users on the other computers on my home network rights to
modify or change files on the NTFS partition on one of my computers? The
following is my problem :
I have a home network with 4 computers running XP. ( 2
are pro and 2 are home) 3 of the computers are FAT32 drive based and the
4th is NTFS. I can't save a file from any of the FAT32 machines to the NTFS
machine. However I have no problem in viewing any of the folders and can
get the file buy accessing through the network from the NTFS machine.
I get the following error message
Cannot copy filename: Access is denied
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not
currently in use.
My network is TCP/IP using Client for Microsoft Networks. File and printer
sharing has been enabled on all of my machines.
1 Computer (NTFS)has no passwords and the other (FAT32 ) all do have
passwords.
