Setting a popup window's base target to caller window?
Quick question for you...
I have a link, say, on "page.html":
<a href="#"
onClick="window.open('show_which_vessels.asp?Versi onID=1','Vessels','width=300,h
eight=300,toolbar=no,
location=no,directories=no,status=no,menubar=no,sc rollbars=no,copyhistory=no,
resizable=yes');return false">CLICK HERE</a>
... which as you can see opens a small new window for me. It contains the
"show_which_vessels.asp" page. This page has links on it - I would like those
links to have a base target of the ORIGINAL caller window (page.html).
How can this be done? I know you have to "nickname" windows, and reference
using those... but how to get the POPUP knowing its base target is the original
page is something I can't find any tutorials/notes on!
Thanks! :)

Re: Setting a popup window's base target to caller window?
Make the main page have this code -
<body onLoad="self.name('foobar')"....
and the link would then need to be targeted at foobar, e.g., <a
href="page.html" target="foobar".....
