Setting bookmarks in Acrobat 7
Is there a simple way in Acrobat 7 to set a bookmark to "go to a page in another document"?
This feature worked quite easily in Acrobat 6, but is no longer a choice in 7. I only find instructions to open the other document to the correct page to set the link. This is crazy! My files have hundreds of bookmarks to hundreds of files. I have to go back to 6 every time I need to do this. Am I missing something?

Re: Setting bookmarks in Acrobat 7
Adobe went back to the "easy" way it was done a couple versions ago.
Create your link with the Link tool. In the Create a Link dialog box, make your choices for visibility, etc., then click Next. When the Create Go to View dialog box, appears, choose File > Open and open the second document. Move to the page and magnification you want. Then click Set Link.
Test your link with the Hand tool.

Re: Setting bookmarks in Acrobat 7
I seem to recall that there are third party plug-ins that also do this, probably faster and slicker, but I'm not familiar with them. You might check out the Acrobat web sites like www.planetpdf.com.

Re: Setting bookmarks in Acrobat 7
With hundreds of links, I can't open every file I want to link to. I'll check out planetpdf, but will probably just stick with Acrobat 6 for this stage of production. It's hard to believe that Adobe would eliminate such a simple function and replace it with a multiple-step mess!
I did purchase the ARTS PDF Aerialist plug-in ($$$), which streamlines the creation of my bookmarks, importing them directly from an Excel log. Unfortunately all the links have to be set to a blank dummy page within the primary document since Aerialist doesn't allow setting external links in the import file. So I'm still left with modifying all the bookmarks once they're created. If there's a plug-in that'll deal with external links, I'd love to know about it.
Thanks for your help.
