Setting GCR to maximum
Hi
I recently had to do an advert for a local newspaper. Created the file in ID2.0 and saved it as PDF.
The newspaper people then said I should have called the PDF into Photoshop in 300dpi RGB, then set the GCR to maximum and saved the file as a CMYK jpeg.
Photoshop Help says that GCR can be set in the Custom CMYK dialog box "In the Custom CMYK dialog box, select a separation type." but Help doesn't help you to find this dialog box.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Setting GCR to maximum
Sandie,
Edit>Colour Settings.
Select Custom CMYK in the CMYK Settings Dropdown
In the Black Generation dropdown select Maximum.
Save the profile to a CSF (Colour Settings File) giving it a name such as
MaxBlack
