Setting up incoming dial up connections
I need some advise with setting up incoming dial up
connection to provide internet access for remote users in
conjunction with RAS server, possibly multiple
connections. I would like to know if I need to install
multiple modems on the server and do I need to have
multiple telephone lines. Also, how are the remote users
given internet access? I am on a LAN that has T1
connection.
Any advise would be highly appreciated.

Re: Setting up incoming dial up connections
Hello,
You need one phone line for each concurrent connection. So if you want two
people to be able to dial in to the server, you will need two lines.
The users will (probably) get their internet connection from the server. The
server used for dial-up will act like an ISP for the modem users. All this
can easily be configured with the RRAS Wizard in Windows Server.
