Re: Shared review error
Hi, Gary. I'm having the same issue with my shared reviews. I'm using Windows and have hosted the review on a shared Windows drive. I have one reviewer using Linux and he can't post his comments to the server, but all Win users can. So he emails them to me and I insert them in the shared review. It works but the comments go in with my name and not his. Can't be helped, I suppose.
Anyway, I still can't identify what the actual problem is, but I wanted to point out that it's not Mac-specific. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Shared review error
I'm guessing that both of you are using Acrobat 8 Professional, right?
I experienced similar problems periodically with Acrobat 8. I've been doing Shared Reviews with Acrobat 9 Pro without those problems. It seems more solid and reliable by using Adobe's Acrobat.com servers. I suspect that there were some critical bug fixes in Acrobat 9 Pro.

Re: Shared review error
Hi folks,
I have a related issue. People in my organization use Adobe Professional 8.1 or thereabouts, on Windows XP. One person posted a shared review, and I am _sporadically_ unable to connect to the comment server.
Initially I connected OK, and downloaded some existing comments. The next time, I got a message: “Could not connect to <name>”. <name> was the name of my organization. The review initiator can assign an arbitrary name for the comment server location when they set up the review. Review Tracker shows <name> under “Review Servers”, with status = “Not Currently Connected”. It doesn’t show me an actual address or URL. The initiator doesn't remember what address she used.
A little later, I managed to connect long enough to download a few new comments from other reviewers, but the connection failed before I could publish my comments. Eventually I emailed them to the initiator.
My organization's IS department couldn't help me, because we couldn't find out what physical server location is associated with the label <name>.
Anybody have any idea how to find out what your comment server's address is after it's been set up?
thanks,
Caroline
