Shockwave 11 Emulator 2 problems won't play

Here's the stupid error message: This application requires an
Xtra(ArcadeEmulator2) that either does not exist or failed to initialize
properly. Please make sure the appropriate Xtras are in the Xtras folder(s).
This is insanity. I downloaded the new Shockwave 11 from adobe.com and now
it's telling me I need to install ArcadeEmulator2, yet the files are missing. I
tried to uninstall then reinstall Shockwave 11, but it continues to give me the
same error message. I DID NOT have ANY problem with version 10. Adobe is no
help either as no one can figure out why version 11 won't work with Vista Home
Premium. What files are supposed to be in the Xtra folder or should I contact
the CIA and have them release this secure information , so I can actually use
Shockwave player v. 11?

The game/URL you are hitting requires an xtra to auto-download in order
for you to be able to view the content, and this is failing. You need to
contact the original author, or at least the host

I had the same problem, and i was fixed by uninstalling Shockwave, and
installing an older version (version 8 worked for me). So far I didn't
have any problems with any other application using the older version.
Also this only worked on Mozilla Firefox.

:frown; Apple users may be able to get around this by unchecking all of the update options in shockwave. Maybe this only works in version 10 to prevent you from going to version 11.
