    Default ShockWave 11 Installation leaves Version 10

    In our environment, we need everything to be installed silently (automated)...
    Am I missing some command line switches or something to make the latest version
    remove the previous ones? Running the installation manually does not provide
    any options to remove previous versions.

    Am I missing something, or is this a design flaw somewhere in the installation
    of ShockWave version 11? Is it standard to leave the remnants of the previous
    version of ShockWave player when you install the latest version?? :confused;

    Using the download from Adobe: sw_lic_full_installer.msi
    The previous version was of 10 (also): sw_lic_full_installer.msi

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

    Both versions (10 and 11) can - and in some cases have to - co-exist

    There is an uninstaller in the support section that will uninstall previous
    versions of Shockwave....but I warn you! I go on a site to play games called
    Slingo. After I uninstalled my previous version of Shockwave (which by the way
    is recommended by Adobe before installing Shockwave 11), I can no longer play
    games on this site! It seems I was told by the help desk at Slingo that Adobe
    announced that Shockwave player 11 does not support Windows 98, ME, 2000 and
    XP. Yet...as of yet I have not found any download places for any previous
    versions of Shockwave Player....just uninstall areas of previous players. Now
    how do you like them apples, pardon the pun. So it seems that Adobe no longer
    cares about previous OS when creating their new programs. I mean after all,
    Windows Vista has not even been out for a year yet! How can you not support
    Windows XP when there are still so many users of that OS. Microsoft still
    supports Windows XP (and they are the created of this OS) so why can't Adobe!

    I know that Slingo said they are taking out shockwave for their games now.
    Hmmmm, wonder how Adobe feels about that???? As of yet, I still can not play
    any of the games until their site has eliminated shockwave from their
    games...since the new Shockwave Player will not allow the games to
    load!:brokenheart;

    I am so sick of developers creating new programs that will not work with
    previous OS (operating systems). At least they could have them work with at
    least one back version!
