Shockwave doesn't work with Firefox 3

I've tried installing shockwave many times, but it doesn't seem to work. This
is not shockwave flash, just normal shockwave. When I try to install it it says
that it found Macramedia Shockwave 10.9, but when I go to install it, it says
that it didn't install it. I also went to Adobe's website and installed version
11 of shockwave, but that doesn't work either. I've also tried install it by
disabling my extensions and other plugins and in safemode. I don't know what to
do anymore, please help! :(

Hello,

did you exactly follow as described in the troubleshooting guide for install
problems? AFAIR you need the latest uninstaller for shockwave and have to
reboot each after uninstall and re-install.
