shockwave install

I use XP. I downloaded ver 11.0.0.458 and get teh message congraulations etc.
When I try and run an *.swf file nothing happens. If I check in explorer for
the file association is says swf is a shockwave file but I ma then prompted to
search the net for a suitable application to laucnch the file.

Two questions. Any idea which foler shockwave installs to and secondly, any
solutions to this problem?

The Shockwave Player is intended for playing (published) Director files
in a browser, *not* Flash swf files. Install a copy of the Flash Player.

I have installed the flash player but still can't run the swf files

Try finding a Flash Player forum and asking for help there.

Try to uninstall shockwave player,then reinstall again.
