Shockwave not working
Have a computer here that had issues with both Flashplayer and Shockwave not
working.
Following the troubleshooting info on the Adobe site I have now got
FlashPlayer working but no luck with ShockWave....
Initially was prompted to install but installation never seems to complete --
nothing found in C:\Windows\System32\Adobe\Shockwave 11
Downloaded the installation file and installed that. Says installation is
complete and files are now in the Shockwave 11 file but when I test it, I am
prompted to install Shockwave again....
Have repeatedly followed the instructions under Troubleshooting -- uninstall
then reinstall done both with and without restarts.... What else can I try????
The computer is running Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7 with all critical
updates installed.
Help PLEASE!

Re: Shockwave not working
Hi there,
I don't want to get your hopes up, I know shockwave 11 installer has a lot
of issues. But personally, I finally got it to work by disabling the plugin
from the browser menu, uninstalling shockwave plugin completely, rebooting,
and reinstalling the full version from scratch (NOT the slim plugin). It
seems to have most issues if you try and install it with a piece of
shockwave content visible in the browser.
I hope this might help, sorry if not, but I had trouble getting to work
myself on several PC's and laptops, and I create shockwave games for a
living!
