Hey there. I have been trying to view a website which runs shockwave. It's
[url]www.ediecarey.com[/url]. Until about mid July, I had been able to bring up the site
with no problem. All I get now is a while background in the browser window and
the website designer tag line at the bottom of the page.

I get the yellow error triangle in the bottom left of my status bar. When I
double click on it I get an error message that says "object expected" and
"invalid character". The url in the error message box is
[url]www.ediecarey.com/ec.web.swf[/url]. I've done all sorts of searching on the web and
cannot find a simple answer on what to do. I just re-installed Shockwave 11
and still get the error.

I have had the same sort of issues but on a game site. Prior to installing
Shockwave Player 11, the site and games played fine. After updating and
installing the new player...the games will no longer load and keeps saying it
needs to download shockwave player. It then just freezes on that window after
it tries to download the player. So I installed it from the Adobe site
instead...nothing changed. When I contacted the help section from the game
site; they said Adobe announced that the new Shockwave player does not support
Windows 98, ME, 2000 and XP. What a bummer. What are these users suppose to
do now? I have not found an area on Adobe to download any previous
versions...so what now?????

Anyone with help regarding this would be greatful!
