Shockwave player installation in a loop!

I cant play shockwave movies exported from director mx 2004... tried it in
win2000 and win xp, the page starts the latest player dowload& installation,
but it starts over everytime I open the page and it keeps starting over while
its opend. Arrghgh, anyone else with this problem?

Since Im developing a flashcom engaged dir app do I need to open severall
pages of the same app, so to play it from director isnt enough. Until now I
have been forced to export projector file, but that feels unecessary time
consumin

i was having the same problem as i couldnt download shockwave 10 and my browser
kept getting stuck in a loop.
version 8.5 isnt compatible with mx2004 however the beta is and works well
(however i havent tested it fully)

it seems to work well with movies made in director 2004 but im still
woundering when it will be released as an updat

DUDE!!! Thanks alot man. Thats incredible, how can they release director
without any notable warnings/ directions about the player? Its not even in the
FAQ/ support.... is it like one guy running macromedia nowadays
