Shockwave Player quits IE7 on W2K3 TS, SP2

Environment:
Windows Server 2003 Standard, Service Pack 2
Citrix Presentation Server 4.5
Internet Explorer 7

Synopsis:
After installing Shockwave Player (MSI or Web - newest Version) Internet
Explorer window quits when browsing "www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome" Page for
example. There are some pages that do not cause Internet Explorer to quit and
you can't quite tell why and when.
There is neither an event in the Eventlog nor a Dr. Watson Logfile although it
was explicitly activated as debugger. We also didn't find anything helpful with
File-/Regmon. We suppose Internet Explorer gets a "normal" quit-command and
does not exit because of an application fault.
Synopsis occurs without using Citrix - I just thought I should mention it
anyway.

What I did so far:
Looking for Eventlogs/Dr. Watson, Asking Dr. Google with no results. The only
thing I found out is that Mac OS X users seem to experience the same under
specific conditions.

Anyone got an idea? I am really stuck with this... Thanks guys...

Obviously already IE5.5 had problems with shockwave. Thanks to Dr. Watson I
could identify the following KB

But... its IE5.5 and the procedure there was already tested with our
environment with no result...
