Shockwave Player version

Hi all,

I am looking for a way to get my shockwave app to force the end user to
upgrade their shockwave player. To do this, I need to be able to detect the
version of shockwave installed, and if there is a way to force an update.

If there is no way to force an update, I can always simply tell the end user
that it requires a specific version of shockwave in order to run.

Anyone know how to go about doing what I need?

There is no way to force an update. You can easily tell what the player
version is by looking at the environment string:

[url]http://www.killingmoon.com/director/env/[/url]
