    Default Shockwave Plugin for Maya

Does Maya 5 have a 3d Shockwave export option ? I have Maya 5 for OSX and looked everywhere for it on the Maya menu. Do I have to download it somewhere? Thanks!

There was never a Maya SW3D exporter for Mac OS. For what it's worth, it was
promised as part of Maya 5, but they never delivered it. It's still in the
Windows version of Maya, but hasn't been updated in ages. Bill Buxton is a lot
more interested in VirTools these days, so don't expect much by way of new Maya
    SW3D stuff anytime soon.

To be totally fair, part of the reason for the lack *may* be due to the
fact that Macromedia didn't release a Mach-o version of their w3d
    exporter xdk until last week...

Excellent point. And I do hope Alias does finally put that exporter out too.
But with Maya RTA and the Maya SW3D physics exporter for Windows both already
discontinued, at this point I'm wondering how much longer Maya will export SW3D
    even on the Windows side.
