    When you create the .dcr (Publish settings...) there is an option to include
    Shockwave detection in the html page, if that helps. Presumably you aren't
    trying to do this from a Shockwave movie, because the SW movie can only run* if
    the user has the SW player loaded already...

    * with the exception of opening a .dcr from a projector
