Shooting Condition: Large Tent w/Band
Hi all. I have my "first" assignment with my new gear......I will be
shooting some pictures at an upcoming jazz festival and I was
wondering if my current setup will do it justice?
I have:
- Rebel Ti
- Speedlite 420EX
- 25-90mm (canon)
- 80-300mm (sigma)
- tripod if needed
Should I pickup another lens with a low F-stop for this? I believe my
25mm will go down to F4, but I have to be fairly close to fill the
frame. I'm just worried that my shots will be too dark.
Thanks!
J.D.

be fine. You should test it in similar conditions first though. Perhaps a
nearby county fair with tents? A beer tent? :-)

Re: Shooting Condition: Large Tent w/Band
Will you be shooting at night?
In daylight...?
Is the stage lit?
What are trying to end up with, color prints, slides, scans for a website,
black and white?
What's the final usage going to be?
What are the event rules regarding using flash during a performance?
Way too little information to give you correct answers.
