Re: Shopping Cart
Yeah I second that about Charon Cart. It is a great cart and very reasonably
priced.

Shopping Cart
i am trying to edit this shopping cart
http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx/dreamweaver/articles/php_cart_3.0.html
and i am running into a problem. the shopping cart is going to be for stock
photos and i would like to be able to display the results of my query not only
in rows but in columns, meaning i would like to have thumbnail images side by
side...maybe 4 to a row and i am unsure how to accomplish that. I believe that
this string while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) is what would need to be
edited but i havent been able to find anything out there that tells me how to
do that .
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

shopping cart
Hello,
I am trying to integrate a shopping cart into the design of some web sites I
am building for
clients. I have tried a couple of demos that didn't work and have looked at
the shopping cart extension page
on the macromedia site, which only confused me as I don't know coldfusion, asp
or mysql. Do I have to know
these languages in order to build a custom shopping cart that works for my
sites, or does anyone know of a DW or
Golive extension that is up to date and reliable that doesn't require me to go
back to school to learn?
Any feedback on this would be very much appreciated!

Re: shopping cart
Take a look at www.ezcat.com. It integrates with virtually all HTML
editors and we have a reseller program for developers as well.

Yes, that would be good as I am looking at the same thing as I helping a
friend build a website and a shopping cart is needed.
Do tell on how to add one to a website... :)
Thank you!
Have a blessed one............................................... ... ;)

They have a lot of different bundles. If you get the e-commerce, you get all
the other stuff with it. Keep in mind, if browsing turns to buy, they have a
new version coming out soon...july 27th. Not sure which would be better...to
purchase the "old" version and upgrade or to jus buy the whole bundle new when
it comes out.
I don't own this bundle (being unemployed right now) but they have a lot of
stuff available and it's not all that expensive.

Re: shopping cart
I just downloaded Cartweaver (coldfusion version) Judging from the responses
from a few different chat groups, this was the easiest, yet most sophisticated
option. I will let everyone know how this solution works - but in the meantime,
and this has been really bugging me, on my office computer (Mac OSX) Icant get
extensions to load into the correct program. I have Dreamweaver MX 2004 on that
computer and when I double click the extension on the desktop, the extension
manager opens up with only Fireworks MX in the drop-down menu. This also
happens when I try to access the extension from with in dreamweaver Help!

Re: shopping cart
Hello LArtJunky,
Actually, good news here, the new version of MX Kommerce and all of its inner
workings will be released in the next couple days I am told - not end of
July. :-)
It takes a bit of learning - but man, its a good one! By far the best E-commerce
solution I have used. The bonus is that many of the extensions that come
in the E-commerce package can be used for other dynamic features not even
related to e-commerce.
