Default Should I delete Acrobat 5.1 before installing version 6.0 ???

I have just downloaded 6.0. However, I have a previous version 5.1 and want to know if I can delete it before installing 6.0.

I also have Acrobat Distiller 5.0 installed. I've never been sure about how it works and it has seldom worked for me. Can I delete that as well?

    Thanks

Distiller costs a fair amount of money. Personally, I wouldn't delete
it off hand, in case I needed it one day. Do you never, ever want to
    make a PDF file?

But if you uninstall any part of 5.0, you will remove Distiller.

You can and should delete 5.1 with a reboot before installing 6.0. Sorry, I don't know anything about distiller.

Distiller is probably the most important part of Acrobat, it's the program that actually converts PS into PDF. It's usually called by the Distiller Print Driver, however, so you may be using it without even knowing it. The Distiller printer has been renamed "Adobe PDF" in version 6, but it's the same thing. The application itself is still called "Distiller," though.

My $0.02: I left Acrobat 5 installed and have had no problems related to it. I like having 5 around in case I want to do something that's easier in 5. I also use 5 to make indexes because the catalog function in 6 is utter crap.
