Show exif data as text within picture - Photography

Hello. Do you know imaging applications that do take the exif date of my digicam files and show this date as a text line in the picture? The result could be a picture that looks like those from compact cameras with data back. I know some softwares use the exif date to change the file name or to change the file's date of last change. But i don't see softwares that could "print" the date in the picture? Could that be done with some batch job with usual pixel softwares like Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro 8 or PhotoImpact? Thanks!...

You could do it easily in Linux, using jhead to extract the exif data, and
a small shell script to take that and feed it into ImageMagick, which
provides a utility that can put text on an image.

How you'd translate that to doze, assuming that's what you're using is
another matter. The cygwin tools probably provide enough of a framework to
get it working, and I'm pretty sure you can get pre-compiled versions of
    the ImageMagick utils for Win32.

Actually, PSP 8 comes with a script which pulls some of the EXIF data and
does exactly what you want, as in these pictures -

    http://www.dizteq.com/kbunkflowers/pages/Picture%20007.htm - the script
could be modified to include all data, I'm sure.

Hi, thanks your all your hints so far. Yes, i can do it with a PSP 8
macro, but the look is not attractive, and it seems difficult to edit
that special macro. Another solution is Exifer, which has a huge
dialog box to insert exif and iptc fields into JPEGs. Any other hints
    (for Windows) still welcome!
