Show/hide form elements based on buttons selected - Dreamweaver AppDev

I have a form where users can click to state if they are a member or not. If they click that they are a member, I would like to then activate/show a text field where they can insert their membership number. If they click saying they are not a member, I would like the text field to remain hidden. I'm sure it possible, but don't know how to do it? Is there an extension or tutorial that anybody knows of? Thanks Mat...

If you place a button it is likely to fire the entire form. You could create
an image in the shape of a button and apply the show/hide layer behaviour to
it, but make sure you select the onclick action

What is your application platform (PHP, ASP, ASP.NET)?

This sort of thing is trivial in ASP.NET.

I use ASP, VB and MySQL.

Do tell me it's easy in ASP won't you!

    Thanks
