Silent install?
Hi,
We just recieved our Acrobat 9 as part of our Creative Suite 3 software maintenance. I can't find any information about silently deploying this software, and there is no installer now, just a drag and drop installation that installs the software on the first launch...
But... I'm sure that Adobe hasn't been that stupid and just hasn't released the information yet... right? Has anyone figured out how to deploy Acrobat 9 to multiple machines?
Regards,

Re: Silent install?
Did anyone find a solution to this? Or was anyone able to re-package acrobat using package maker and create an install that wouldn't break existing Adobe products.
Seems like Adobe should get their act together and offer the same deployment tools across the board.

Re: Silent install?
Is that what they are using to silently deploy CS3? Package Maker? What is that?

Re: Silent install?
Package maker is bundled with Xcode from Apple, its used to make custom .pkg or .mpkg installers.
Adobe uses their Setup.app installers which also have the option to install through the commandline using a pre-defined confgiguration file, or by bundling that configuration file with their own installers to create a custom, prelicensed installer. You can also use the configuration file to disable updating, license agreements, or registration too, its very handy.
Only problem is Acrobat 8 & 9 are drag and drop installers that register when they are first launched, Adobe provided the Acrobat configuration utility for windows users but not Mac users.
