Simultaneous Editing
Is there a way for two people to edit the same InDesign file at the same time? The only way I know now is to make a copy of the file, but then someone has to go back and merge the changes.

Re: Simultaneous Editing
Sounds like a job for InCopy if all that's being changed is text.

Re: Simultaneous Editing
I saw InCopy. It seemed like such an overkill. The only thing I need to be able to do is have multiple people edit text at the same time.

Re: Simultaneous Editing
In InC one person edits one text box in a layout, another person edits another text box in the same layout (page).
To handle this versioning workflow, you either need VersionCue (a file based versioning system) or a larger data base driven versioning system. Simply...

Re: Simultaneous Editing
So it sounds like I need InCopy and VersionCue? Since there are just 2 people, if we coordinate so we aren't editing the same page at the same time, only working on two different pages in the same document. Then can I get by with just InCopy?

Re: Simultaneous Editing
Besides, I believe VersionCue is only for those that own the entire Creative Suite. If you don't have the entire CS then you won't be able to use it.
Well... I couldn't get it to work.
