Re: site can't be opened by others
The source code I see when I look at your site is the source code of
pre-service pack Pub 2002.
You need Service pack 1 and 2 loaded.
SP 1 changes save as web to export as web.
If you loaded SP1 and are using export than perhaps you have created and
published 2 versions of the site. I recommend that all site files be deleted
from the server before publishing new site files. I also recommend uploading
thru Publisher. I have a tutorial on my site that covers Publisher
uploading.

Re: site can't be opened by others
Thank you for your help! I know you must have a very hard job and I am sorry to add to your stress, but.....
Below is all the info I can think of that you might need to help me further. I would appreciate anything you can do.
1) SP1 and sp2 are already on the system. When trying to install it again using the microsoft download page, the program says "This update has already been applied or is included in an update that has already been applied" for both sp1 and sp2. Menu already says "export as web". I have tried both "export as web" and "save as" then chose a new directory and then uploaded the data onto the web via WS_FTP.
2) The site is only accessible as an ftp site - I can not access it for upload when clicking on "export as web" or "save as", that's why I use WS_FTP. I do delete all the files on the site before updating. I always save the files in a new directory before uploading via WS_FTP. (The parent site is www.soncom.com). I tried several times/ways to uploads the site using publisher. But, pub says I do not have access to the site using the user name and password that works with WS_FTP (http://www.soncom.com, instructions for upload at: http://www.soncom.com/html/support.shtml , faq's.)
4) Per above, there must be some technique about uploading to an ftp site that I am not finding on your site since I can't seem to upload via pub directly. COULD IT BE THAT THIS IS A VIRTUAL SITE?
5) I am concerned that the 1st page might be too large so slower modems and isp's are timing out. Is that possible from what you see?
Thanks!
