Default Site Remove Connection Scripts Problem

HI,

I am trying to solve the problem with XP SP2 and ASP server database
connection. I have the extension 'fix', but when I try to remove the connection
scripts (Site->Advanced-> Remove Connection Scripts) I get an error.

What can I do? Can I remove them manually?

Thanks for any advice!

Don.

In your root there is folders beginning with _mm. Delete them then re-create
your connections. Try re-creating your site cache first then removing
connection scripts.

Default Re: Site Remove Connection Scripts Problem

Hi Bill,

I tried it on my laptop and it worked. I only did it for one site, so I have
to fix it for more of them. Interesting to note this is not a problem if I'm
using "localhost" for my server, but when I use my intranet server or my live
web server, it's an issue.

Deleting the _mm.... folder from the server was the key.

Another interesting note, the guys at Interakt have an updated extension patch
for this problem. They have a technote on it called: MXKollection Technote
Details :: Database connection fails with ASP servers. The technote URL is
http://www.interaktonline.com/Products/Bundles/MXKollection/Technotes/Details/Da
tabase+connection+fails+with+ASP+servers.html?id_t hn=72

Seems like those guys have their act together. Macromedia should work closer
with their partners perhaps!

Thanks for your help.
Don.
