    Default Slicing a path: PROBLEM

I use gradients frequently in AI 10, but whenever I slice the path, the gradient shifts within each of the 2 slices. This never happened in previous versions. It's really a pain in the ass because I have perfected manipulating gradients within vectors, and after slicing, it's nearly impossible to get the same exact effect. Anyon have a clue what the problem is?

Hmm. I'd call it a bug in that the obviously useful behvior is lost. But with both new shapes selected, you can drag the Gradient tool to reset it.
