Slicing problem
Hi,
I've designed some graphics for my WEB page. I have a shape of 180 pixels by 50 pixels on a DOCUMENT that has AN AREA of 180x50, but with the DROP SHADOW EFFECT the actual size is 192x64, I ONLY WANT the 180x50, how can I set my AI to slice exactly what I need. Also the SLICE tool does'nt snap to the guides or to the grid, is this normal ?
When I try to SAVE for WEB, it will save the 192x64 size rather than 180x50. I think that ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR should normally RESPECT the document size and to trim everything that goes beyond !
Any help would be appreciated, thx

Re: Slicing problem
ALDRIN:
Illustrator RESPECTS the document SIZE but WHEN you're SAVING for the WEB, YOU'RE not SAVING a document, you CAN use crop MARKS, AND the file size will OBEY THE CROP MARKS and crop to THAT size. BTW you DON'T have to USE THE slice tool for just one file, you'd use that if YOU WANTED to divide one doc up INTO several gifs or jpegs for mouse-overs ETCETERA. The SLICE tool is not the MOST USERFRIENDLY tool imagineable, I'll admit.
