    Hi ma,

    In Dreamweaver, we can use Timelines and layers to provide this feature.
    Basically we use the Timeline feaure in Dreamweaver to control the layers to
    produce the sliding effect. For more information please take a look at the
    links below:

    ok thx for ur help...
    i now have to know-how, but i still face some big problems...

    the page i'm working on is
    www.teamdirect.at/temporary/contents_english/maxsworld/background.html

    on the right side i've two thumbnails... two normal .gif - for the behaviour i've selected that when one rolls over them layer1/2 is shown, while layer2/1 is hidden....

    then i've got two layers (1 and 2) with the big picture in it... i placed it as accurate as possible and when i watched it in safari (mac-browser) then it was looking perfect...
    but then i tried IE for mac and the pic was more down (about a centimeter..)
    i don't check it as i entered the cordinates, so why can it be different??

    can u please help me?
    thx a lot
    max

    max:

    Don't put layers into tables -

    <div id="Layer2" style="position:absolute; width:200px; height:115px;
    z-index:1; left: 242px; top: 315px; visibility: hidden;"
    class="bordertoplines"><img src="folder_background/pic2g.gif" width="390"
    height="234"></div></td>
