Then I use Nero to write a VCD or SVCD which will play on my DVD player.
It's a bit of trial and error to decide what is the best format to save the
"movie" in. But the result is very good.

Re: Slide show on DVD
Does Paint Shop Photo Album support MPEG-2 compression or just MPEG ? (The
specs don't tell...)
I tried the MySlideShow shareware program which seemed quite okay, but it
only supports MPEG, and I think the image quality was poor. I'm shooting
with a 6.2 megapixel Canon 10D, so it feels kindof sad to scale the images
down to fuzzy MPEG.
Anyone got any experience with this ? Is there software around that supports
MPEG-2 ?

Re: Slide show on DVD
Just put your pics in a folder and copy them to a CD, then play on any DVD
player thats CDR/W compatible.

Re: Slide show on DVD
I was looking at that, but it says you have to download their player. I
am looking for a program where I can combine photos and music, burn it
onto a DVD, and have it play on any DVD player. Anyone know of the best
one for this?
Thanks.

Re: Slide show on DVD
I tried several different software: Ulead DVD PictureShow, Photo DVD,
FlipAlbum. But for picture show on DVD, none of the products come even
close to 3D-Album. 3D-Album provides the most interesting effects and
themes, especailly good for DVD movie. The result look like a
professional TV commertial. They have lots of new 3D effects that can
be downloaded for free. To create DVD movie, you need to have their
DVD capture software, which is sold separatedly for $25. This software
also creates AVI, WMV, and RM. While other products have limitation on
the number of pictures, for instance, Photo DVD allows 40 pictures
only, 3D-Album virtual has no limitation. I did create a DVD with over
1500 photos, the only complain I got is that the speed is too fast for
people to watch individual photos for long enough. But it is a matter
of your choice. You can set up your own pace using either the speed or
the interval control.
