Slow performance from Word X
I have a document created in Word 2000, then opened in Word X on my Mac. (G5 1.8 single processor, 10.3.5, 1GB memory). The document is letter size, about 50 pages long, and most pages contain at least 2 screen shots. For some reason it only took about a minute or so to create a PDF of this document in Windows, using Acrobat 6, but it takes for-freakin'-EVER to do the same on the Mac; an hour, if I'm lucky.
In both cases I've been using the "Adobe PDF" printer.
This works just fine in Windows but when I moved to the Mac it just went to hell in a handbasket. I know that this is most likely some kind of user error, so where did I go wrong?
