Slow site with flash - Macromedia Flash Sitedesign

I have a website with flash on it and I cant seem to get it to load fast enough. I need help with working with flash files that will not take a day to download. I see many sites that are 100% flash and load in an instant, even navigation menus. How do they do it? Help here will be great. Thanks...

Is it using vector graphics or imported jpegs? Is each page a single swf
file? Can u break it down to load sub files on demand? One of my earlier
sites was a2 mb file, with 4 choices. It took 45 secs to load on cable
modem. I broke it down to 5 files. The main page is now 24k, and the
other 4 swf files dont load until the viewer clicks on the option. I can
break down those swf files further, cuz the biggest one takes 12 sec to dl.
