Slowed down to a crawl
I'm using Acrobat Pro 8 V 8.1.2 but barely as its performance has slowed to a crawl. Everything works, but very slowly. Some factors to consider: I have recently done work on my fonts using Suitcase. I left all of the main system fonts but might have moved the Adobe fonts from there previous location. I have about 20GB of space on the HD which I think should be enough. Should I consider either removing the preferences or maybe reinstall? Any ideas? The computer is a MacBook Intel core 2 Duo with 4MB RAM System 10.5.4.
Thanks, Phil

Re: Slowed down to a crawl
20GB out of what total? Out of 60GB would be OK but 20GB out of 200GB is not enough. The rule of thumb is always have more than 20% of your drive open.

Re: Slowed down to a crawl
Too many fonts can slow any program down. You should also make sure that
Distiller's job options point to the new font location. You should also
remove any AdobeFnt list files. They will be regenerated as needed.
