Tiger came out some 4 months after Acrobat 7 (in the UK) ... only
slightly different in the US - so maybe only 3.5 months - therefore no
such optimisation. However, the more recent the application version, in
theory, the more compliant ...
There is a slight niggle with Acrobat 7 and Tiger (console/color-space)
- but besides, everything seems OK ...
