Smoke effects?

Wondering if anyone has any info on smoke effects or tutorials on making
smoke. I've been experimenting with circles and alpha and glow...not really
working that good though. Any ideas would be great.. thanks!

Don't know of any tutorials, but if you don't find anything you might want

There were some images and files that Linda Rathgeber shared not too
long ago over on Macromedia Exchange. There was one that was an
animated gif of a cup of steaming coffee. You might check it out, I
thought the same tweening technique would work nice to create smoke.

Let me know if you can't find it.

Use the pen tool to draw the basic shape you want. Use a gray color
with a 4 pt soft rounded stroke. Apply the Motion Trail effect.

Property Inspector > Add Effects > Eye Candy 4000 LE > Motion Trail.

This can produce a nice smokey effect when many lines are layered with
different shades of gray.
