    Default smtp servers and email

    Hi

I know this isn't strictly a dw question but someone may have had the
    problem and know a solution.

Simply I have a client who has his own domain +,website and an address of
    say co.uk

His ISP smtp gives him the address fred xyzinternet.co.uk so in his outlook
I setup the pop3 server to his domain provider and the smtp to
    mail.xyzinternet.co.uk

recently they have had e-mails rejected by the isp who now tell me that they
no longer accept e-mails unless they are from an xyzinternet.co.uk address.
This they tell me is to reduce spamming.

Can someone please point me towards a solutions?

    thanks

    Ian

You would either need to switch ISP hosts, or he would need to change
his e-mail address to the xyzinternet.co.uk extension. many ISPs do
this to help reduce the spam going through their servers.

Alternately, he may want to try asking his ISP to enable relaying and
permissions for the ayz.co.uk account, though very few ISPs will allow that.

I would say to change his ISP.
I haven't had that happen to me before so I don't know how usual/unusual it
    is.
