    Default snapshot

    I need to get a snapshot of the Hardware configuration
    of my pseries, Which command would help me in this issue?
    I need to know CPU model no. and type, RAM, storage.

    Hi Steve,

    The easiest way, is to use cfg2html script for aix. I will e-mail it
    to you. There is, also, the snap command but it's more complexed.

    There is a utility called snap, I came across this utility when I
    called the IBM hardware support people for couple of hardware issues,
    it is diag utlitity for gathering the system info on ur AIX platform,
    this can be only executed by the root user, but it copies various
    system files into
    /tmp/ibmsupt/. It gives alobarate info about your aix system.If I
    remember the command its snap -a.
