Solid black TIFF should overprint.
I have a Solid 100% greyscale Tiff file with a path that is knocking out of my CMY plates. I want it to overprint but the only option in the attributes menu is "non-printing" how can I get this tiff to overprint instead of knock out?? (I have not yet printed the page I just see this happening in the Output preview menu.)

Or, change the image's mode to Bitmap.

So I think my solution would work. It is also more production friendly, in that it doesn't require transparency or flattening.

Re: Solid black TIFF should overprint.
Grayscale has 256 possible shades. Bitmap has two.
Try it yourself. Take a grayscale photo and change its color mode to
bitmap. I think you'll see what I'm talking about immediately.

Re: Solid black TIFF should overprint.
Maybe some clarification is needed. I interpreted "Solid 100% greyscale Tiff file" as meaning the TIFF only uses black and white (no shades below 100%). I now see that it could mean that the opacity is 100%. If the former is true, then I stand by my earlier suggestion. If the former is true, then only Multiply will do it.
