Solution to Error"Warning 20225" @ 3099e.htm does not work.
When I tried to install version 6 acrobat on my Win XP system I get the error "Warning 20225...Adobe PDF printer may be unavailable.
I went to the support knowledge base and followed the solution as detailed in 3099e.htm to the letter. After much frustration the error still exists.
What do I do now?
I thought it might be a faulty disc, but when I tried it in a machine that is identically configured it works fine and the PDF printer installs.
HELP?

Re: Solution to Error"Warning 20225" @ 3099e.htm does not work.
Try downloading the Universal PostScript Windows Driver Installer from <http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=1500> , run it, choose as a Local Printer, choose Desktop/*.pdf as the port, search for the following printer description file when it asks :
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0\Distillr\Xtras\Adobe PDF
Don't bother printing a test page, configuring or reading the ReadMe and simply finish off this manual installation of the printer.
Have a check in the printers folder of the control panel to make sure the Adobe PDF printer has been installed and then test printing over it from, for example, Word, to make sure it can create PDFs.
Hope that helps!
