some asp-database problem

after publishing site to iis with frontpage asp seems not
to execute for some reason, i think, related to database
(access). the browzer starts loading the asp page and never
loads it, showing that it is busy all the time. the
progress bar moves slowly and stops. no error messages...
just nothing happens.
if i just copy the same files to some folder in wwwroot,
and run the site- everything works.????
