Default Some extensions are dimmed out when I try to install

I have DWMX2004 and have installed a fair amount of free and paid extensions. I
am on a Mac running 10.3.9 and using Extension Manager 1.6.062 and can't figure
out why some of the extensions in my extension folder are suddenly dimmed out
and not available when I try to install them. Oddly, others in the same folder
are available. Additionally, extensions in another folder are also available.
It seems the ones dimmed out are the newest ones I have. They did install when
I bought them, but when I tried to add one to the folder it was dimmed out. I
put it in another working follder but no luck, still dimmed out. Has anyone had
this happen? How do you fix it? Thanks. Jays99

I think there is a bug or limitation on the Mac that causes this. If you
uninstall some extensions you'll be able to see other ones. I also know of
people who had to reinstall DMX2004 on the Mac OS before they could use the
    extensions they wanted to use.

Thanks for replying. I have worked around the Mac SB limitiation problem by
using different configuration folders. There are only 26 SB menus possible on
the Mac, and that is actually a DWMX2004 limitaiton which they promised to fix
in the next release. The dimming of the extentsions is a recent happening and
I'm trying to figure out what I may have done to cause this. I have a post on
the forum of one of the extension companies and will await their reply. Thanks
again for your help. I did check out your site and bookmark it. When I get some
more room, I will probably get your PHP 7.0 package. Looks good. jays99

It might very well be a DMX2004 limitation on the Mac platform. Apparently,
you have read the note regarding this on one of the extension developer's
site. That's what I had in mind, too.

If you have any questions about the PHP package feel free to write to me
    offlist.

I was having the same problem on my Mac. Went through all the Troubleshooting
(Knowledge Base) advice about the extension manager menu.xml file and the
DWMX04 7.x update problem that causes Extensions to fail ... didn't fix the
problem ---- even reinstalled Extension Manager and DWMX04 - which didn't solve
it. Tried your solution and moved all the extensions I didn't use to another
folder and only kept 6 or so of them in the download folder. Still had all of
    them 'greyed out'. .....

Saying to myself that something had to install these things, I double-clicked
on the extension file itself while in Finder and lo and behold, Extension
Manager opened and asked if I wanted to install the extension (Accept/Decline
window) - clicked 'yes' and the extension installed.

I still get the 'greyed out' extension list when installing extensions through
Extension Manger itself (either through DW or by just opening ExManager and
trying to install) but the double-click on file method works fine.

    Go figure .... Susan

Thanks for replying. That is the solution I have found also. Just double-click
on the mxp. I found that out from the extension manufacturer, Interakt, in this
case. Sounds like a problem specific to Macs. As long as I can install and
    uninstall, I'll be happy. Jay
